Technology Mall
Explore the production modules, processes and process chains for bipolar plate, membrane, seal and stack — and the partners who master them.
An overview of technology options and their providers
The Technology Mall was created to give an overview of technology options and their providers. It distinguishes between the components to be manufactured, the services offered and the partners involved.
For each component, the required production modules are shown, possible processes are named and described with the available equipment. Individual processes can be combined into complete process chains under target corridors — such as high production volumes or high quality.
The processes behind the modules
High-rate processes for manufacturing hydrogen systems — from forming to testing.

Hydroforming
Forming complex metal geometries with uniform wall-thickness distribution.

Hollow embossing
Precise forming of metallic components (e.g. bipolar plates).

Hollow-emboss rolling
Highly scalable forming of bipolar plates via flexRoll & flexROLLmax.

Joining
Laser and electron-beam welding for precision and scale.

Stacking
Automated assembly of PEM fuel-cell stacks.

Testing technologies
Characterization and testing of electrolyzer and fuel-cell stacks, including inline inspection.

Destacking
Reuse of materials and components.

Sealant application
Coming soon.
Across components — on real reference systems
The process chain is mapped across components on the HyVentus and HyVictus system developments — from blueprint to high-rate chain.

HyVentus
Reference electrolyzer stack for scaling hydrogen production to industrial volumes.

HyVictus
Reference fuel-cell stack — a blueprint for the process chain from component to stack.
